sparsi.org a web outreach mission
web outreach mission
We invite you to join this web outreach mission project. We based the concept on "A guide to web outreach" from Gospel Communications. Although scattered across continents and islands, we come together through the internet to tell the stories of our shared connection to our Lord, Jesus Christ, the perfect person. The project focuses on outreach to a broad cross section of visitors. By offering a diverse body of information the site draws the largest possible audience. After reviewing the published information they seek, visitors can learn about the author or a story behind the information. There begins the opportunity to introduce the "good message" through our web outreach mission.
the bridge strategy: "be what they are searching for"
Pull visitors to the web outreach site by providing them useful information on a variety of topics. When people search the internet, the search engines do not give information about a web site, instead the search engines point to specific pages. Individual pages provide the informative content of any given site. What's more, an individual page provides the point of entry to the site (the landing page). With this bridge plan, the "Home Page" loses significance and the landing/bridge page provides the first contact in our web outreach mission."a wealth of ruminations from scattered emplacements"
So, by providing what they want, the opportunity to connect with them unfolds. The bridge strategy gracefully offers them the opportunity to read a testimony, view a "meaning of life" link or review a parable to take into account.
The bridge entrance must be attractive to all. Within the project's broad target audience, many levels of Christian awareness exist. Absence of "church jargon" on landing pages preserves the broadest possible appeal. Many un-churched people distance themselves from situations that promote the Gospel. A number of reasons drive this reaction, but the reasons are not in the scope of this project. Only to know that "church jargon" most likely limits the audience. The statement, "A Bridge to the Gospel", defines the primary project goal.
your part in this web outreach mission
All individual landing pages provide two key components of the overall Mission plan. As stated above, an individual page provides the point of entry to the bridge. The number of pages determines the number of bridge entry points. As different people search for different topics, they land on different pages at the site. As more pages get published, more bridges get built. In addition, each individual landing page draws many visitors and with each additional visitor, the Mission reaches out again and again across the bridge.Secondly, and this depends on you, an individual landing page provides an entry point for your involvement in this web outreach mission. Your involvememnt makes the project come alive. Every landing page on the site must provide useful and accurate information to be of any interest to a visitor. You, who are reading this, encompass a wide array of educations, personal interests and work environments. Just about anyone could draft a page with 250 to 500 words of text on some subject of which they possess an exceptional level of knowledge or experience. It is very likely that you may already have a rough draft or a completed piece of writing you can share.
We invite you to join this web outreach mission project. Drop us a note with your 250 to 500 word story or informational sheet. Now for the best part, Include the short message that you want to share about your connection to our Lord. Something that provides a small bit of insight to the un-churched so that they might just want to learn a little more. .....Hey, write a couple of pages if you like!
